As per Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural) in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024, the number of seats to be filled through direct election in Pannyannur Grama Panchayat of Kannur District was fixed at 16.
Accordingly, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 16 constituencies and determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published through Notification No. SDC/990/2024/SDC6 dated 18.11.2024.
A period up to 04.12.2024 was provided for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals. The objections and suggestions received were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and the matters were considered and disposed of accordingly.
Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the Mokeri Grama Panchayat was divided into 16 constituencies, and the boundaries thereof were determined as shown in the schedule appended herewith, and the final order was issued.
