Ward Committee / Gram Sabha
A Gram Sabha is the general assembly of all voters belonging to a particular ward of a Panchayat. It is considered the basic unit of grassroots democracy at the Panchayat level.
Main Objectives of the Gram Sabha
- To directly discuss the needs and problems of the people
- To ensure people's participation in preparing Panchayat development plans
- To select beneficiaries for welfare schemes
- To evaluate the activities of the Panchayat and provide suggestions

Who Can Participate in the Gram Sabha?
All citizens whose names are included in the electoral roll of that ward can participate in the Gram Sabha.
